Why We Love ARK's Sidekick™ Chewie Figurine

ARK's Sidekick™ Chewie is the largest oral motor chew tool.  Whether you envision your Sidekick kicking an imaginary soccer ball, stretching, or dancing, this fun design is sure to put a smile on your face.

Each Sidekick measures about 10.1cm at the widest part, 15.2cm at the tallest part, and 1.27cm thick and is the equivalent of 2 Grabbers in surface area.  With 5 different extensions to chew on, it's the longest lasting shape for moderate to avid chewing.  

Please note:  the Sidekick is standing in the picture for visual purposes only - it does not "stand" well on its own otherwise, as the edges are very rounded for comfortable chewing.

Note:  Because this is a larger chew, you may want to "size down" a toughness level.  If you're used to the Grabber or Y-Chew in XT for example, you may want the standard level in the Sidekick. 

ARK'S Sidekick™ Chewie Figurine is available in 3 toughness levels:

• Soft / Standard (Red): This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not chew through anything)
• XT / Medium Firm, Xtra Tough (Green): This is the middle level, which we call XT ("Xtra Tough").  It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers
• XXT / Very Firm, Xtra Xtra Tough (Blue):This is the toughest level. It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid / pretty firm.  No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers. 
  
  

How to Use ARK’s Sidekick™ Chewie Figurine

Always supervise your child when they are wearing and/or using ARK’s Sidekick™ Chewie. You should regularly clean all chew tools by washing them with a gentle soap and warm water, ensuring you fully rinse and dry them before letting your child use them again. 

You should regularly inspect and replace the chew if it shows signs of wear and tear. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. They typically last depending on the amount and intensity of the chewing, as well as other variables such as jaw strength, stress/anxiety levels and other sensory strategies used. 

While for some, a chew tool will last forever, others with heavy/aggressive oral needs may go through it very quickly.
